The holiday season is critical for Duracell, but it’s also a particularly tough time to cut through the noise of advertising. Brands must find a distinctive and authentic angle to reach their desired communities. Emotions run high during the holidays and utilizing the insight that parents will do everything they can to make sure the holidays are perfect for their loved ones, we developed the strategic direction to showcase how a better battery makes a better holiday.

With a focus on building brand equity, I developed a combination of eye-catching TV and social content, media partnerships, and influencer collaborations. This holistic approach ensured that people walked away knowing that in order to help guarantee getting the most out of their holiday moments, their gifts deserved Duracell.

 

Discovery Media Partnership

For authentic integration and storytelling in the gift giving space, we developed a partnership with the Discovery family of networks. Six channels created audience-specific holiday gift guides for their social channels, with additional content created for TV placement.

Influencer Partnerships

In addition to the media partnership with Discovery, we enlisted 25+ family/parenting influencers to authentically drive home the importance of remembering to include Duracell in your holiday preparations. This was punctuated by a never-been-done brand partnership with Amazon to create custom shipping boxes highlighting Duracell's holiday campaign message. These boxes were seeded to influencers with an additional 250k boxes shipping with Amazon orders.
