Racial Equity

Google firmly believes in, “building a world where progress, equitable outcomes, diversity, and inclusion can be realities both inside and outside our workplace.”

This deeply aligns with my personal values. As such I’ve been committed to telling brand stories of equity and inclusion, focused on amplifying overlooked voices from within the community.

Anchored in search trend data immediately following the murder of George Floyd, I developed a film to represent both Google’s brand voice, and the voice of millions of others standing up against racial injustice. Our social community has stood by the brand’s side with 6.7M+ (organic) YouTube views.

Hire Black and Black Disabled Creatives

To continue Google’s commitment to racial equity, I developed a series of social posts both explaining the need to include the voices and visions of Black and Black disabled creatives, as well as providing a platform for their words and artwork.

Black Wall Street (Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial)

To commemorate the centennial of the Tulsa Race Massacre I led development of a multi-channel photojournalism series, co-creating with local Black photographers and paying respect to Tulsa’s modern day Black Wall Street. Images were featured on three Google owned and operated channels; all driving to a site detailing the full story of the event and its historic significance.
